I burnt my hair with my flat iron? Help?

Ok so I had it at it's highest heat setting (455 degrees F) and i was trying to curl my hair with it and it failed. I usually use heat Protectant but I wasn't idk why lol and I burnt my hai and it changed a patch of hair like a different color it turned it dark yellow but I have light blonde hair! How do I get rid of the patch?
