Is it true that if an expectant mother is miserable through the pregnancy the child will be miserable as well?

I hate being pregnant, this has stopped me from having any more kids. I was miserable the whole time, but LOVE being a mom. My kids were very good babies, I think it's about how you treat them once they're here, not how you felt during the pregnancies. I think your friend is just a bad mom.
