Is working for a weapons / missile company considered selling out / selling your soul?
Its a very personal question, my answer might not work for you. I work for an aerospace/defense company in the US. Not making weapons, but providing systems that are often used to guide/steer weapons (missiles, space launch vehicles, satellites, commercial and military aircraft). The company is diversified, so I have also been able to work on some cool things like the Spiderman vehicles used at Universal Studios Theme Parks. With respect to weapons, I believe they are necessary tools for countries to defend themselves. Yes, the world would be better off if none of us had weapons, but this is not that world. What if the US, UK, and their allies did not have military power in WWI or WWII ? You might be living in a country today that is not free. Therefore I have no trouble sleeping at night. I'm not a warmonger, and I don't always agree that the US uses its power for truly noble purposes, but in general, we must have the ability to defend ourselves and our allies.
