Salon perm straight hair or using hair straightener?
Get yourself a good hairdresser, they will talk you through it, my partner is a hairdresser and in their opinion there are pros and cons for both. Chemically straightening your hair permanently changes the hair structure, turning curly hair straight The length of time it lasts depends on how quickly your hair grows, as new hair growth will still be curly. The same chemical process can then be repeated to new hair growth. Any chemical process on your hair will damage it to a degree, a good conditioner and heat protection spray will balance things out again. Hair straighteners are a quick and effective way of straightening hair, always ready for action, fast and a 1 off buy. A good straightener can straighten the curliest of hair. Too much heat from the straightener for to long will burn the hair. Again, heat protection and a good conditioner help to protect the hair. From a professionals opinion, chemically straightening the hair give better results, it may cost more in the long run but more damage is done by over use and miss use of straighteners used at home
