Is she being extreme in her expectations or not?

She is demanding her nephew wish her a Happy Mother's Day, yeah that's bordering on insanity right there. It sounds like she is not over the death of her child yet and needs to get into therapy and deal with these issues and not take them out on her nephew who was just stating a fact, he doesn't know about all the crazy emotional upheaval in her mind and should not be expected to know.
